Abstract

The Amazon Rainforest, often referred to as the "lungs of the Earth," harbors unparalleled biodiversity, playing a crucial role in global ecological balance. However, rapid deforestation driven by human activities poses a significant threat to this unique ecosystem. This paper examines the profound impact of deforestation on biodiversity in the Amazon Rainforest, exploring the intricate relationships between the loss of forest cover and the decline in species diversity. To quantify the scale of deforestation, satellite imagery and remote sensing data are employed to analyze the extent of forest cover loss over time.
