Authors Guidelines

Author's Guidelines (IJBMV)

Manuscripts Submission: The Full Text Manuscripts should be submitted by the corresponding author of the manuscript through the Online Submission Process on the homepage of the website or by simply mailing us at ijbmveditor@gmail.com. Only the Word (.doc, .docx) files can be submitted through the online system. Submissions in any other format will not be accepted. The submitting author takes responsibility for the manuscript during submission till the acceptance/rejection of the manuscript. If for some technical reason submission through the online process or by e-mail is not possible, the author can contact us anytime for help.

Article Types for Submission: All submitted formatted full-text articles should report original, previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical. Articles submitted to the ER Publications Journals/Conferences should meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. These types of articles should be submitted to the Research Radicals Publication, Hong Kong journals/conferences:

  • a) Research Articles: These articles should describe new and carefully confirmed findings, and experimental procedures should be given in sufficient detail for others to verify the work. The length of a full text article should be the minimum required to describe and interpret the work clearly. Generally, research articles are 4 to 6 printed pages in length.
  • b) Short Notes: A short note article is suitable for recording the results of complete small investigations or giving details of new models or hypotheses, innovative methods, techniques or apparatus. The style of main sections need not conform to that of full-length papers. Generally, short note articles are 2 to 3 printed pages in length.
  • c) Review Articles: These articles should describe the literature survey of a specific topic and some introduction and methodologies used to find the results. Maximum number of references should be added to make a good review article. Generally, review articles are 5 to 8 printed pages in length.
  • d) Case Study: These articles should describe some new and carefully confirmed results, and experimental procedures should be given with details to verify the work. The comparison of the proposed approach with existing approaches should be there. The length of a full text case study article should be in between 5-10 printed  pages in length.

Terms of Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted on the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere and are not currently under consideration in any other journal or conference. The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that the article's publication has been approved by all the other co-authors. Further correspondence and proofs will be sent to the author(s) before publication unless otherwise indicated. It is a condition of submission of a paper that the authors permit editing of the paper for readability and Journals/Conferences premises.

Units of Measurement: Units of measurement should be presented simply and concisely using System International (SI) units. A list of non-standard Abbreviations should be added in the articles. In general, non-standard abbreviations should be used only when the full term is very long and used often. Each abbreviation should be spelled out and introduced in parentheses the first time it is used in the text.

Manuscript Format and style (Writing Guide):

When submitting manuscripts for review in the Journal/conference, please submit an original editable file in one of the .doc or .docx files as indicated in the Paper Template given in the ‘Downloads’ tab on the homepage.  All figures, images, tables, etc., should be embedded into the original file. All submitted full text articles should report original, previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical. Articles submitted to the ER journals/conferences should meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Detailed instructions on preparing papers for submission can be found in the Paper Template and Copyright Form.

Title: The manuscript title should be concise and meaningful. It should have 24 fonts in Times New Roman and bold format. It should be followed up by the Authors name with their affiliation, country and e-mail id’s.

The labels of the figures are also subject to resizing to be of minimum 9pt according to the journals/conferences specifications.

All references should be cited within the text; otherwise, these references will be automatically removed.

It will therefore be appreciated if the manuscripts and figures conform from the outset to the style of the journals/conferences.

While the advice and information in Research Radicals Publications, Hong Kong journals/conferences are believed to be true and accurate on the date of its going to press, neither the authors, the editors, nor the publisher can accept any legal responsibility for any errors or omissions that may be made. The publisher makes no warranty, express or implied, with respect to the material contained herein.

Human & Animal Rights: Every country which uses animals for research has come out with a set guidelines for the care and use of laboratory animals, which include housing, feeding and humane caring. The guidelines are uniform throughout the world, and strict adherence to these guidelines are made compulsory by appropriate animal welfare laws. These guidelines insist on standard environmental conditions to be provided to the animals in terms of light, temperature, humidity, ventilation, noise levels etc. and also the standard nutritive diet to be provided to them. Traditionally laboratory animals are kept in barren and boring cages. But in recent years there has been a move towards enriching the surroundings of these animals within the bounds of experimental requirements. Environmental enrichment involves increasing the complexity of the cage so that animal finds it more stimulating and it is encouraged and able to behave more naturally. All the Authors/Researchers performing medical experiments on human or Animals body should properly adhere or mention their permissions from the concerned department and also acknowledge in their manuscripts.

Waiver / Discounts on Article Processing Charges

Waivers may be granted at the Publisher's discretion and should be discussed with the editorial office when submitting the article. The editorial decision making is decoupled from the authors' ability to pay the Processing Charges, however authors should consider in advance whether they have sufficient funds to cover the full APC.

IJBMV also offers discount vouchers to selected authors/reviewers.

Authors affiliated with participating universities receive a discount on the APC for any paper published in an IJBMV journal. Note that only one discount through an IOAP scheme is permitted per paper, and that the discount can be combined with other available discounts (e.g., reviewer vouchers or discounts offered by the Editorial Office).

General Peer-Review and Editorial Procedure

All manuscripts sent for publication in our journals are strictly and thoroughly peer-reviewed by experts (this includes research and review articles, spontaneous submissions, and invited papers). The Managing Editor of the journal will perform a technical pre-check of the manuscript’s suitability upon receipt. The academic editor will be notified of the submission and invited to perform an editorial pre-check. The Editorial Office will then organize the peer-review process performed by independent experts and collect at least two review reports per manuscript. We ask our authors for adequate revisions (with a second round of peer-review if necessary) before a final decision is made. The final decision is made by the academic editor (usually the Editor-in-Chief/Editorial Board Member of a journal or the Guest Editor of a Special Issue). Accepted articles are copy-edited and English-edited.

Editorial Decision and Revision

All the articles, reviews and communications published in IJBMV journals go through the peer-review process and receive at least two review reports. The in-house editor will discuss each step of the process with the external academic editor and communicate decisions to the authors regarding the following:

    • Accept in Present Form: The paper is accepted without any further changes.
    • Accept after Minor Revisions: The paper is in principle accepted after revision based on the reviewer’s comments. Authors are given five days for minor revisions.
  • Reconsider after Major Revisions: The acceptance of the manuscript would depend on the revisions. The author needs to provide a point by point response or provide a rebuttal if some of the reviewer’s comments cannot be revised. A maximum of two rounds of major revision per manuscript is normally provided. Authors will be asked to resubmit the revised paper within ten days and the revised version will be returned to the reviewer for further comments. If the required revision time is estimated to be longer than 2 months, we will recommend that authors withdraw their manuscript before resubmitting so as to avoid unnecessary time pressure and to ensure that all manuscripts are sufficiently revised.
  • Reject and Encourage Resubmission: An article where additional experiments are needed to support the conclusions will be rejected and the authors will be encouraged to re-submit the paper once further experiments have been conducted.
  • Reject: The article has serious flaws, makes no original contribution, and the paper is rejected with no offer of resubmission to the journal.

Digital Preservation / Archiving of IJBMV Content
